MICROSOFT has been hit by a computer virus which carries a message for tycoon owner Bill Gates.

The worm, called Blaster, is being spread by internet around the world.

And a note on screen pleads with the world's richest man: "Billy Gates why do you make this possible? Stop making money and fix your software."
Up to 300,000 computers are thought to infected by the virus which has targeted Microsoft's Update website.
It causes computers to continually crash and it has also programmed infected PCs to bombard the website with corrupt data from today.
Microsoft was last night desperately trying to head off damage from the virus.
Chief UK security officer Stuart Okin said: "We hope steps taken will be adequate."
Users are being urged to download a special "patch" designed to disable the worm.
At least three variants of the virus have been detected, including a "silent" version which means users are unaware they have become a target.
